Exploration of Death
April 15-16, 2017 and April 21-23, 2017
Benefits San Francisco Suicide Prevention
This powerful, collaborative exhibit, featuring work from local artists and a guest artist from New Mexico, explores the topic of death and grief, which is reflected in each unique, visual interpretation presented for your consideration.
Our society has not always been able to confront such hard, forbidden, frightening topics. Yet, death and grieving are very much a part of the human condition and experience, and people have an innate desire to heal naturally in the sharing of those experiences.
This very relevant exhibit encourages the viewer to reflect on, and initiate dialogue about, individual and collective loss; global and social conditions and effects of and on death; ethical issues; and different attitudes about dying and grieving.
Proceeds from this exhibit will benefit San Francisco Suicide Prevention (SFSP).
This event is free and open to the public of all ages.
Check our calendar to see exhibit hours of operation.
Exhibit Location: The Artists Loft, 839 Clay Street, Oakland, CA 94607.
