Autumnal Equinox Celebration Exhibit

September 20 - 22, 2019
The Artists Loft invites you to join us to celebrate the Sun, the Great Chariot in the Sky, as it enters the Constellation of Libra, officially starting Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. This mystical orb has long been revered by ancient cultures, who created time charts, planted and harvested, moved their people from place to place, and created great monuments in its honor.

Also called the First Point of Libra, the Autumnal Equinox signifies a time of balance marked by nearly equal lengths of day and night around the world. Considered by many to be the most desirable of all signs, Libra represents the zenith of the year when the harvest of spring’s hard work is reaped.  Libra, the personification of balance and harmony, asks us to focus on finding harmony and equilibrium with all areas of life.

This Celebration features unique, original painting, illustrations, poetry and vocal performances by local San Francisco Bay Area artists.
